Last evening, when Chester and I got home from work, our Buddhist monk neighbors and the community at The Drikung Meditation Center were up to no good, celebrating and dancing. :)
It reminded me of a Chinese New Year celebration, where, when I was eight-years-old, I was one of the dancing lion heads for our Chinese School Par-tay… which, this head and body kind of look like a dragon… so I wonder if I was a dragon head… hmm. Well! I would love to know the story behind the events from yesterday. Though, I did grab some witness photographs to share. It was lovely to see, and I was happy to catch it just in time.
After the dragon/lions made-up and de-robed into human beings, we went off for our nightly run. How nice to know what your neighbors are up to. Do you know where your neighbors are right now? I’m certain mine are meditating on pillows, sweeping their front stoop, or walking over to the grocery store to get a Popsicle. Because, damn… it’s hot yo.
