I am not sure if words are even necessary for how adorable this ring is with the carved-etch looking house on a tiny hill. I think this is about the cutest thing I have ever seen as far as houses and rings go. So simple, pretty, and also poetic. I love that it looks so uniquely handmade, and furthermore, the artist drew these from the heart. She writes that they are like “tiny prayers for a home.” A beautiful sentiment, that Anne knows from personal experience. This is one of my favorite pieces she has memorialized as a ring.
Another cool piece that the artist Anne Arden McDonald has created! These were made with apple seeds that she sewed together. I also like the display stage she is using as it emphasizes how well this piece stands out. It’s a great organic and creative bit. It caught my attention because of how it related to life and having an organic nature, and certainly because of its direct link to nature as well! It represents the beginning life of an apple, but going even further, it is like the budding potential of many things to come.
