Slab built porcelain clay houses

I’m in my first pottery art show and it’s coming up in a couple of weeks! Yay, rah rah rah. I took a quick shot of some of the pieces I finished tonight to go in the last batch for bisque firing in the kiln. This picture is essentially, the little clay houses in their “greenware” stage. Which means, the clay is considered wet stage right now. Before going into the kiln for even bisque firing, I like to have my houses slowly air dry, just so they don’t crack and stay that much stronger! Plus, since it’s porcelain… it’s much more durable once it has gone through it’s last firing. Trust me, I have dropped my own porcelain clay house, and the fact that it did not break — made me love it that much more. Tough as… slab built porcelain! I’m sure if I dropped a pottery vase on the other hand…
